Hikvision announced that its DeepinView network camera series (iDS-2CD7x) has achieved EUCC certification, marking it as the first CCTV product worldwide to receive this prestigious certification. This milestone underscores the company’s commitment to robust product security and compliance with digital governance regulations.
The certification was issued by TrustCB B.V., an independent certification body authorized by the Dutch Digital Infrastructure Authority (RDI). The comprehensive security assessment was conducted by Bureau Veritas Cybersecurity Europe, a globally recognized independent testing laboratory. The certified iDS-2CD7x series evaluated under ISO/IEC 15408 standards (Common Criteria) and CEM:2022 R1 meets the EUCC security level of "significant," corresponding to Evaluation Assurance Level 3 (EAL3) with additional requirements ALC_FLR.2 (error correction).
The EUCC framework, accepted as a high-authority cyber security product certification in Europe, is based on internationally recognized Common Criteria standards. Through rigorous independent testing and auditing, it systematically verifies a product's security functions, development processes, and vulnerability management. As the European Union actively strengthens security requirements for digital products, such as through the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), which introduces lifelong security obligations for "products with digital elements," and NIS2 Directive imposing stricter cyber obligations for critical sectors, EUCC serves as a reliable reference point. It provides manufacturers and end-users with a unified and trustworthy proof of compliance while offering a fundamental reference for high-security sectors such as government, critical infrastructure, energy, and transportation.
