Hikvision erhält branchenweit erste EUCC-Zertifizierung für Netzwerkkameras
Hikvision has announced that its DeepinView network camera series (iDS-2CD7x) has successfully obtained EUCC certification, marking it as the first CCTV camera product globally to achieve this prestigious certification. This milestone highlights Hikvision's commitment to high product security and compliant digital governance, according to the company.
The certification was issued by TrustCB B.V., an independent certification body recognized by the Dutch Authority for Digital Infrastructure (RDI). The comprehensive security evaluation was conducted by Bureau Veritas Cybersecurity Europe, a globally recognized independent testing laboratory. The certified iDS-2CD7x series was tested according to the ISO/IEC 15408 (Common Criteria) standards and CEM:2022 R1, meeting the EUCC trustworthiness level "Substantial," which corresponds to Evaluation Assurance Level 3 (EAL3) and extends to the requirements of ALC_FLR.2 (fault management).
The EUCC is a newly introduced, significant framework for product cybersecurity in Europe, based on internationally recognized Common Criteria (CC). It involves rigorous independent testing and examinations to systematically review a product's security features, development processes, and vulnerability management. As the European Union actively strengthens security requirements for digital products through measures like the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and the NIS2 Directive, the EUCC serves as a trusted benchmark, providing manufacturers and end users with a consistent and reliable proof of compliance.
Hikvision's attainment of the world's first EUCC certification in the camera category reflects the company's structured "Security-by-Design" approach. By integrating stringent security principles into every phase of the product lifecycle—from conception and research and development to testing, delivery, and ongoing maintenance—the company ensures proactive management of device security from the ground up. This certification particularly confirms the robust security measures of the iDS-2CD7x series in key areas such as identity authentication, access control, secure communication, security audits, and vulnerability management.
With this new benchmark, Hikvision is establishing a new reference for compliance with cybersecurity requirements across the industry, while simultaneously enhancing global customer trust in its products and solutions.
