Corinex y Plexigrid se unen para ofrecer la solución de gemelo digital más precisa hasta la fecha

July 6, 2026

Corinex Corp. and Plexigrid S.L. have entered into a strategic cooperation agreement to market Corinex Plexigrid Intelligence, a platform designed for low and medium voltage electrical networks that utilizes highly accurate and detailed energy data.

As energy-intensive artificial intelligence expands, the electrification of industry, transportation, and heating/cooling accelerates, and the penetration of distributed energy resources rises, grid operators face significant technological challenges. These include planning, operating, and coordinating in real-time a distributed, intermittent, and bidirectional electrical system with millions of distributed energy resources (DER). Achieving the necessary level of visibility, intelligence, and real-time control in the medium and low voltage sections of the grid is the primary goal of this cooperation.

The products from Corinex monitor and act upon the physical grid, while Plexigrid’s software models and optimizes it. This partnership combines their complementary capabilities, integrating real-time field intelligence with digital twin analytics and flexibility decision-making.

The integrated solution aids utility companies in visualizing real-time voltage conditions, identifying available capacity, and addressing network limits. Built on Corinex's BPL architecture and edge computing capabilities, the solution enhances the digital twin with comprehensive information regarding grid assets.

"Utilities need more than connectivity and cloud-based network visibility. They require an intelligence layer capable of observing the physical grid, understanding changing conditions, and supporting decision-making at the speed demanded by modern distribution systems," stated Peter Sobotka, founder and CEO of Corinex Corp. Alberto Méndez, CEO and co-founder of Plexigrid, added, "This partnership enables our models to continuously leverage high-resolution information from the physical grid, creating a stronger basis for planning, flexibility, and daily operations."
