PassiveLogic presenta la primera autonomía generativa del mundo para edificios e infraestructura industrial

PassiveLogic has announced the launch of Level 3 Autonomy, the world's first system for widespread autonomous control of buildings and infrastructure robotics. The company aims to transform buildings into active contributors by using a physics-based world model, which continuously coordinates building systems to maximize comfort and minimize energy consumption.

Level 3 Autonomy allows buildings to manage their systems independently, balancing comfort, energy, operations, and emerging risks as conditions change, without the need for constant adjustments or manual intervention. "Buildings worldwide are undergoing a fundamental transformation, shifting from passive operations to active contributions," said Thomas Kiessling, CEO of PassiveLogic. "We have moved autonomy from theory to practice in real-world environments, a development the industry has anticipated for years."

The complexity of autonomous systems in buildings, industrial systems, and data centers requires coordination of thousands of interconnected assets across multiple physical domains and time horizons ranging from milliseconds to decades. However, current building automation systems are mostly at Level 0, functioning as black boxes where actions occur without clear intentions or causality. Level 3 represents a significant shift, where control is no longer pre-programmed, but is instead a dynamic and trainable AI, offering a transparent understanding of decisions.

Leveraging NVIDIA technology, PassiveLogic's Level 3 autonomously generates changes in the physical environment based on a physics-based real-world model. This model describes the building's environment and systems, including equipment, behaviors, and interactions with people and assets. By combining physical constraints with a visual representation of the environment, buildings effectively become robots capable of reasoning, predicting outcomes, and executing actions accurately and safely.

PassiveLogic is set to unveil the next level of autonomy later this year, which will enable edge learning and expand predictive horizons. The company is backed by prominent investors, including NVentures, Prologis Ventures, Addition, Johnson Controls, noa, Brookfield Growth, G2 Venture Partners, and Keyframe Capital.
