Clearspeed Appoints Laurie Babinski as General Counsel

Clearspeed, a leader in voice-based risk assessment technology, has appointed Laurie Babinski as General Counsel. Babinski brings nearly two decades of legal and executive leadership experience from high-growth public and private technology companies, including her previous roles as General Counsel at IonQ and Deputy General Counsel at Credit Karma.

Babinski will be located in the Washington, D.C. area, where Clearspeed has established a new primary office to support its expanding public sector and defense business.

Before joining Clearspeed, Babinski served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at IonQ, managing the company's legal organization and advising the executive leadership and the board on corporate governance and strategic transactions. Her career also includes over six years in legal leadership roles at Credit Karma and an earlier position in private practice at BakerHostetler. Babinski holds a J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a bachelor's degree in journalism and Spanish from Pepperdine University.

This technology detects risk levels in a person's voice based on vocal characteristics, facilitating quicker and more confident decisions in high-stakes situations. Initially developed for the U.S. Department of Defense, Clearspeed now aids government and military agencies, as well as commercial clients like insurers and financial institutions, in assessing various risks. The company operates in 37 countries and supports over 60 languages, as well as having received more than 30 industry awards.
