Vanessa Gabrovsky Cuéllar, MD Joins DISC Surgery Center at Palm Beach as Physician Partner
The DISC Surgery Center at Palm Beach has announced the addition of Vanessa Gabrovsky Cuéllar, MD, to its team of surgeon partners. Dr. Cuéllar is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and wrist disorders. The new outpatient facility began offering services for minimally invasive spine, total joint, and orthopedic care last month.
Dr. Cuéllar aims to enhance the center's capabilities by providing comprehensive surgical care for conditions affecting the hand, wrist, and upper extremities. "As a hand surgeon, precision and innovation are at the core of everything I do, so I'm proud to join a physician-led organization that shares that commitment," she stated. She noted that DISC Palm Beach’s advanced infrastructure and minimally invasive technologies allow for complex procedures to be performed with high accuracy.
In addition to her medical training, Dr. Cuéllar has a robust background in research. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA and her medical degree from Stanford University, contributing to the co-founding of Cytonics Corp. during her research on genetics. She completed her Orthopaedic Surgery residency and a molecular biomarker research fellowship at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, followed by an advanced fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at the USC Keck School of Medicine.
Lee Levanduski, CEO of TriasMD, which oversees the DISC Surgery Center, expressed enthusiasm about Dr. Cuéllar's arrival, stating, "Her expertise fills a vital need in the region, giving Palm Beach residents access to world-class hand and wrist care in a purpose-built outpatient setting." The facility itself is designed for enhanced safety and efficiency, featuring advanced robotics and minimally invasive surgical technologies.
