LumaCina Appoints Gary Bird as CEO to Accelerate Growth and Expand Global Sterile Injectables Portfolio

LumaCina, a global supplier and marketer of sterile injectable pharmaceutical products and a portfolio company of Bridgewest Group, has appointed Gary Bird as Chief Executive Officer. Bird’s appointment was made by Executive Chair Mark Crotty, who will continue to oversee the company’s long-term strategy and guide its expansion.

“Gary’s appointment marks an important milestone in LumaCina’s evolution as an independent pharmaceutical company,” said Crotty, noting Bird’s extensive experience in strengthening partnerships and expanding market presence.

Bird has over three decades of leadership experience in the Australian pharmaceutical industry, with a background in commercial strategy and market expansion. He has held leadership roles in companies such as Orion Pharma, Medreich, and Meda, and has previously worked with Johnson & Johnson and Sanofi-Aventis. Bird is also a graduate of the Asialink Business Leaders Program at the University of Melbourne and holds a degree in Medical Science from the University of Sydney.
