July 17, 2026

L7 Informatics, Inc. has appointed Ray Veeraraghavan, Ph.D., as the Vice President of Science and AI. In his new position, Veeraraghavan will report to CEO Vasu Rangadass, Ph.D., and will be responsible for leading the company's scientific content strategy and advancing the adoption of L7|SYNAPSE Agentic AI among its customer base. He will also provide advisory support to senior leadership at L7's key enterprise accounts.

Veeraraghavan brings over 24 years of experience in the application of AI and machine learning within regulated life sciences. Previously, he served as Executive Director of Bioinformatics and Data Science Innovation at Quest Diagnostics, where he oversaw applied AI and data science projects for a molecular diagnostics portfolio worth over $2.5 billion. He was also instrumental in evaluating and selecting L7|ESP for enterprise use. Earlier in his career, he developed the AI system for the first AI-enabled rapid whole-genome sequencing clinical workflow at Rady Children's Institute for Genomic Medicine, a project recognized with multiple awards, including a Guinness World Record.

In his role at L7, Veeraraghavan will focus on creating standardized, reusable scientific content and workflows that enhance customer implementations, allowing them to effectively incorporate agentic AI within the rigor of validated workflows required in regulated environments. This effort aligns with L7's broader goal to unify organizations' physical operations into a cohesive enterprise system, rather than serving as another isolated point solution in a complex digital landscape.

Vasu Rangadass, Ph.D., CEO of L7 Informatics, commented on the appointment, stating, "Ray has spent his career turning frontier AI into production-grade systems that scientists and clinicians actually trust. His understanding of our platform comes from his experience as a customer who evaluated it for critical applications."

Veeraraghavan highlighted his commitment to digitizing workflows and embedding AI in regulated settings, stating, "I am joining to help L7 customers realize value where it matters most, not in a demo, but in their labs and on their manufacturing floors." He aims to leverage L7's existing data foundation and workflow orchestration to drive operational efficiencies in life sciences.
