Blubrry Podcasting Introduces New Time-Based Hosting Plans, Including a $7 Monthly Plan
Blubrry Podcasting has introduced new time-based podcast hosting plans, offering creators a straightforward method to select a plan based on the amount of audio and video content they publish each month.
The latest plans focus on monthly publishing time rather than file storage limits, allowing podcasters to choose a plan according to the number of hours of content they intend to release instead of estimating file sizes.
The update includes the introduction of Standard 1.5, a new plan priced at $7 per month that accommodates up to 1.5 hours of audio and video podcast publishing. This plan is tailored for podcasters whose release schedules align with this monthly limit, appealing to both new creators and experienced podcasters.
Barry Kantz, CEO, emphasized the company's goal to simplify podcast hosting choices. "Podcasters think about their shows in episodes, minutes, and hours — not megabytes," he stated. The new time-based plans aim to reflect how creators actually publish content.
Blubrry's options include various plans designed for different publishing needs, from Standard 1.5 for minimal content to Pro Unlimited for extensive podcast operations. Current customers can retain their existing plans unless they choose to upgrade.
Each new time-based plan incorporates audio and video podcast publishing, distribution to major audio platforms, video podcast support for Apple Podcasts, podcast statistics, a managed WordPress website, and AI podcast tools. Podcasters have the flexibility to upgrade their plans as needed, with automatic prorated billing.
