Ares Management Announces Second Quarter 2026 U.S. Direct Lending Origination Activity
Ares Management Corporation announced that Ares Credit funds closed U.S. direct lending commitments of approximately $8.2 billion across 69 transactions during the second quarter of 2026. For the 12 months ending June 30, 2026, the company reported approximately $52.3 billion across 347 transactions.
Notable transactions closed in the second quarter include AeriTek's acquisition of National Refrigeration & A/C Products with the support of a senior secured credit facility arranged by Ares for Mill Point Capital. Additionally, Ares provided financing for Advent International's acquisition of Atwell, a full-service engineering and consulting firm.
Further transactions include support for Raine Group-backed Firebird Music's growth initiatives, as well as Bain Capital's financing for Frontline Road Safety Holdings, which provides pavement marking services across the U.S. Ares also arranged a facility for Monomoy Capital Partners' acquisition of Jiffy Lube, a leading automotive service franchisor.
Ares facilitated MAI Capital Management's M&A strategy following its acquisition by Carlyle, and helped Precinmac secure financing for its growth. The company also arranged a facility for BayPine's acquisition of Relation Insurance, and provided financial support for Greenbriar Equity Group's continued growth plans for Sunvair Aerospace Group.
The company concluded the quarter by supporting Littlejohn's growth plans for Valcourt Group, a provider of building envelope maintenance and restoration services. As of June 30, 2026, Ares Management reported over $671 billion in assets under management across various global operations.
