HCLTech completes acquisition of HPE's Telco Solutions business

August 3, 2026

HCLTech, a global technology company, has announced the successful completion of its acquisition of HPE's Telco Solutions business. This move, originally announced in December 2025, is aimed at enhancing HCLTech's leadership position in the telecom sector through AI- and engineering-led solutions.

The integration of HPE's Communications Technology Group (CTG) business in 2024 laid the foundation for this latest acquisition, which aligns with the trend of Communications Service Providers (CSPs) investing in AI-driven network transformation and next-generation infrastructure. The acquisition is expected to expand HCLTech's ability to aid clients in modernizing applications, adopting AI-led solutions, and monetizing networks.

Combining the expertise, talent, intellectual property, and solutions from both CTG and Telco Solutions with HCLTech's engineering excellence and over 30 years of industry experience aims to create a unique offering for CSPs. With this strategic combination, HCLTech seeks to accelerate AI-led autonomous operations and seize growth opportunities in various sectors such as network virtualization, convergence, and private 5G.

Key aspects of the transaction include HCLTech's expanded market presence in North America, LATAM, Europe, and Asia Pacific, as well as an enriched telecom portfolio featuring advanced solutions for Telecom Operational Support Systems (OSS), 5G Subscriber Data Management (SDM), and customer experience solutions.

Anil Ganjoo, Chief Growth Officer and Global Head of Telecom, Media and Technology at HCLTech, stated, "Telecom providers are accelerating their journey from telcos to techcos, transforming their networks into intelligent, software-driven platforms. With the acquisition of the Telco Solutions business, HCLTech aims to assist CSPs in simplifying complexity and monetizing networks." Rami Rahim, Executive Vice President at HPE, expressed confidence in HCLTech's ability to innovate and support global communications service providers in their modernization efforts.
