Habit’s Double Charburger Does It Again, Ranked #1 Burger for Third Straight Year by USA TODAY 10Best

Habit Burger & Grill's Double Char has been voted the #1 burger in America for the third consecutive year in USA TODAY’s 2026 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. The restaurant also secured the title of #1 Best Fast Casual Restaurant for the second year in a row.

To celebrate its ongoing success, Habit Burger & Grill is offering a complimentary Double Char with any order of $10 or more from August 12 through August 18, 2026, at participating locations across the United States.

In addition to the giveaway, the company is launching a food truck road trip that will travel through San Diego, San Jose, San Francisco, and Sacramento, featuring fresh Double Chars and community events to express gratitude towards local firefighters and first responders.

Jack Hinchliffe, Chief Marketing Officer at Habit, emphasized the significance of the win, stating, “This win belongs to our restaurant teams and the fans who keep showing up for the Double Char. Three years at #1 tells us this isn’t a fluke, it’s what happens when you never compromise.”

The Double Char consists of two freshly chargrilled beef patties accompanied by caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo on a toasted bun. Habit Burger & Grill, which was founded in 1969 in Santa Barbara, California, has since expanded to over 385 locations across 14 states.
