Axonius Federal Systems Initiates FedRAMP Class D (High) Certification Process

Axonius Federal Systems (AFS), the U.S. federal subsidiary of Axonius, has initiated the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP®) Class D (High) Certification process for the Axonius Asset Cloud. This announcement reflects the increasing demand for asset intelligence and continuous threat exposure management (CTEM) from U.S. federal agencies, particularly those operating in high-impact environments that necessitate the highest level of security controls. AFS previously achieved FedRAMP Class C (Moderate) Certification in April 2025.

Jared Vichengrad, SVP and GM of Axonius Federal Systems, stated, “Many U.S. federal agencies operate in environments where FedRAMP Moderate certification is not sufficient for their asset intelligence and CTEM use cases. Pursuing FedRAMP High certification is about meeting them where their missions require us to be.” He emphasized the combination of AFS's FedRAMP experience and direct engagement from agency sponsors as a clear path forward to High certification.

Petar Besalev, EVP of Cybersecurity and Compliance Services at A-LIGN, said, “FedRAMP High certification demands the most comprehensive security assessment the program offers. Our role as the independent assessor is to verify that every control meets that standard.” A-LIGN, a FedRAMP-accredited Third Party Assessment Organization (3PAO), has been engaged to conduct the independent security assessment for AFS.

As U.S. federal agencies enhance their infrastructure and security operations, AFS is reinforcing crucial foundational elements to function within governmental cloud ecosystems, including improvements in internal controls, platform architecture, security operations, and compliance governance. This initiative formalizes resources across various teams to ensure operational consistency, audit readiness, and support for federal deployments. The Axonius Asset Cloud aims to assist federal agencies in managing risk and improving operational resilience amidst complex environments.
