Ozelle erhält Gold-Auszeichnung beim German Innovation Award für die vierte Generation der Hämatologieanalyse
Ozelle has been awarded the German Innovation Award in Gold for its multifunctional analysis system EHBT-50 Mini Lab, recognized as one of the most prestigious innovation awards in Germany. The award honors innovations that contribute to the advancement of products and technologies across various industries through high utility, technical excellence, and practical relevance.
The EHBT-50 Mini Lab is designed for decentralized clinical facilities, integrating 7-channel hematology, biochemistry, immunoassays, and AI-supported morphology analysis into a single diagnostic platform. It was awarded in the medical technology category for addressing the increasing demand for faster and more accessible diagnostic solutions outside of centralized laboratories.
As diagnostic tests increasingly enter primary healthcare, laboratories are facing growing pressures from staffing shortages, complex workflows, and delayed turnaround times. In many decentralized care settings, advanced morphology analysis still heavily relies on specialized personnel and centralized laboratory infrastructure. Ozelle's approach aims to simplify these workflows while maintaining laboratory-level analytical capabilities in daily clinical practice.
The EHBT-50 Mini Lab employs Ozelle's AI × CBM (Complete Blood Morphology) technology to support standardized morphology analysis and the rapid identification of abnormal cells. By combining AI-driven evaluation with consistent cell imaging, the system helps reduce dependence on highly specialized manual evaluations in routine testing environments while improving consistency across various clinical settings.
For clinical use, the analysis device features a maintenance-free architecture, sealed all-in-one cartridges, room temperature reagents, and simplified one-step testing processes designed to alleviate operational complexity. The system also supports flexible test panels for applications such as infection assessment, diabetes management, and thyroid testing, enabling physicians to cover a broader range of diagnostic needs without relying on multiple standalone analysis devices.
Founded in Silicon Valley in 2014, Ozelle operates globally with offices, including one in Frankfurt. The company develops AI- and IoT-supported diagnostic systems for medical and veterinary applications worldwide.
