Sunbelt Builders Show® Celebrates 25th Anniversary

May 16, 2026

The Sunbelt Builders Show is set to commemorate its 25th anniversary by returning to San Antonio on July 22-23, 2026, at the Henry B. González Convention Center. This event marks a significant milestone for the Southwest's trade show, which originally launched in San Antonio in 2001.

Over the years, the Sunbelt Builders Show has provided essential resources for Texas builders, shifting between various locations, including Dallas-Fort Worth. The show has adapted its educational themes to meet the evolving needs of the industry, focusing on key issues such as building science, risk management, and more recent topics like workforce development and artificial intelligence in construction. The return to San Antonio serves to honor a legacy of craftsmanship and efficiency while anticipating future innovations.

Highlights of the 2026 show will include more than 20 thought-leadership sessions featuring both professional development and curated podcast conversations with industry leaders. Keynote speakers will include Robert Dietz, Ph.D., Chief Economist at the National Association of Home Builders, and Ricky Dickson, retired CEO of Blue Bell Creameries and author of the best-selling book One Scoop at a Time.

More than 200 industry partners are expected to participate, showcasing a wide array of providers, from building materials and appliances to home automation technologies and professional business services. Attendees will have opportunities to engage with products directly through interactive demos and giveaways, including the Sunbelt Super Fan scavenger hunt.

The event will also feature social activities, such as "Big Time on the Riverwalk" at Howl at the Moon, a dueling piano event that will raise funds for The Texas Builders Foundation and HOMEPAC. The celebration will continue with the Star Awards on July 23, recognizing excellence in the homebuilding industry since 1993. Registration for the event is open, with free show passes available for builders, remodelers, and developers through May.

Produced by the Texas Association of Builders, the Sunbelt Builders Show aligns with the organization's mission to support the residential construction sector through education and advocacy. The two-day tradeshow coincides with TAB's summer meetings, where members discuss pressing industry issues such as codes, standards, and workforce development.
