SEMIFIVE Reports 137% YoY Revenue Growth in Q1 2026, Accelerating Its Rise as a Key Global Player in AI ASIC

May 17, 2026

SEMIFIVE, a global provider of custom AI semiconductor (ASIC) solutions, has announced record-breaking revenue and new orders for the first quarter of 2026, marking the onset of a growth phase for the company. According to the company, consolidated revenue reached KRW 47.9 billion and new orders totaled KRW 55.4 billion for the quarter, representing a 137% increase compared to the same period last year.

This robust performance is attributed to simultaneous growth across SEMIFIVE's three core business segments: ASIC development services, mass production supply, and Intellectual Property (IP). The company noted that previously accumulated design projects are now beginning to generate mass production revenue, enhancing both qualitative and quantitative expansion.

In the ASIC development segment, revenue hit KRW 28.0 billion, showing a 2.6-fold increase year over year. The expansion into North America and Japan, initiated in 2025, has yielded significant results, with overseas revenue now surpassing 60% of total development sales.

Meanwhile, in the mass production segment, the company reported that new mass production purchase orders reached 74% of last year's total orders in just the first quarter. This growth indicates the successful commercialization of large-scale development projects started since the company's inception, providing clear revenue visibility.

In the IP segment, revenue nearly doubled compared to the prior year, largely due to a surge in demand for low-power mixed-signal IP from its subsidiary, Analog Bits, which is now a critical component in AI ASIC design. The growth was driven by the performance of advanced 2nm and 3nm process nodes, with expectations for continued acceleration in the adoption of these technologies.

Brandon Cho, CEO and co-founder of SEMIFIVE, commented on the quarter's success, highlighting the execution of cutting-edge AI semiconductor projects and the transition of development projects into mass production. He expressed commitment to leading the commercialization of innovative technologies and next-generation AI architecture solutions within the semiconductor market.
