The 13th International Art of Giving Day was celebrated this year across 190 countries, inspired by the vision of Dr. Achyuta Samanta. Participants included followers and well-wishers of the Art of Giving movement, who engaged in the campaign at 50,000 locations worldwide. This included all 222 FIVB member nations, all 28 states and 8 Union Territories of India, as well as every city and town throughout the country and all district headquarters, blocks, and panchayats of Odisha.
In Odisha, the day was marked at 20,000 locations, impacting nearly 2.5 crore people, including followers and supporters of the movement. Over the past week, Art of Giving programmes were organized globally and in various cities across India, with participation from diverse segments of society. Each year, the International Art of Giving Day is celebrated under a unique theme.
This year's theme was 'Share to Shine,' highlighting the idea that sharing happiness with others contributes to one's own growth and progress. During the celebrations, arrangements were made to distribute volleyballs and nets at more than 3,000 locations in Odisha, with a total of 9,100 volleyballs distributed. This initiative was inspired by Dr. Samanta's vision for the development of sports and to promote harmony and friendship among youth.
