Ballerine Unveils Agenticom.org to Map and Solve Trust Gaps in Agentic Commerce
Ballerine has launched Agenticom.org, a new industry hub focused on the field of agentic commerce. This initiative aims to serve as an open resource for the industry, addressing confidence gaps in AI-driven shopping and payments.
The launch is based on original research by Ballerine, which involved 47 interviews across various sectors, including card schemes, payment service providers (PSPs), acquirers, merchants, and AI platforms. The findings indicate that the supply side of agentic commerce is not adequately prepared for the growing demand, with 73% of online merchants deemed not agent-ready due to lacking structured data, verification signals, operational clarity, and trust infrastructure.
Noam Izhaki, Co-founder and CEO of Ballerine, emphasized that "agentic commerce will not scale on buyer intelligence alone." He noted a significant readiness gap across the ecosystem, highlighting the need for merchants to ensure compliance and manage operational risks as AI agents become increasingly involved in transactions. Agenticom.org aims to shed light on these gaps and provide a common reference point for future development.
The site features a variety of resources, including research, market analysis, expert commentary, interviews, and ecosystem mapping for stakeholders in the AI-mediated commerce space, such as founders, operators, and payment providers. Among its tools is The Agentic Commerce Stack, designed to track companies and technologies shaping the infrastructure for autonomous commerce.
Agenticom.org also covers industry news, expert insights, and trend analysis related to agentic commerce, including AI-powered payments, risk assessment, and compliance. The site is currently live and available at https://agenticom.org.
Ballerine operates as a risk and compliance platform targeting payment providers, acquirers, marketplaces, and financial institutions, offering services that combine data analytics and workflow automation to enhance risk decision-making.
