Persistent erweitert seine Präsenz in Osteuropa, um die KI-gestützte Plattformtransformation voranzutreiben

June 2, 2026

Persistent Systems has announced the signing of an agreement to expand its presence in Eastern Europe by integrating a specialized team of over 90 professionals from Concise, a software development and IT consulting company based in Tallinn. This transaction, which is subject to closing conditions, is expected to strengthen Persistent's European nearshore delivery network and enhance the company's capability to assist businesses in developing large-scale digital infrastructures and globally integrated operations.

As companies accelerate their investments in AI-powered operations and modern digital infrastructures, the demand for partners that can modernize core systems, support governance requirements, and offer regional delivery capabilities on a global scale is increasing. Persistent is enhancing its position in this evolving market through investments in strategic delivery centers, advanced platform capabilities, and specialized AI expertise.

The completion of this transaction aims to achieve several key objectives, including the expansion of Persistent's Eastern European and nearshore delivery base, the establishment of strategic delivery centers in Tallinn and Tartu, the enhancement of capabilities in AI-driven product development, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies, and the development of expertise to support mobility, logistics, smart infrastructure, and connected ecosystems on a global level.

With the establishment of delivery centers in Tallinn and Tartu, Persistent aims to broaden its European presence and strengthen its nearshore delivery model for clients across the region. Estonia's advanced digital ecosystem and strong pool of tech talent provide a solid foundation for fostering AI-driven transformation that requires aligned governance and increased regional engagement. The expansion also seeks to solidify the relationship with a strategic client in the enterprise mobility sector in the region and deepen expertise in that area.

Kuljesh Puri, Executive Vice President of Communications, Media and Technology at Persistent, stated that businesses are increasingly reconfiguring their core systems and digital infrastructures to support AI-driven operations, automation, and globally interconnected business environments. He emphasized that this expansion will enhance Persistent's position in AI-powered platform transformation while increasing its presence in Eastern Europe. Markko Abel, owner of Concise, noted that their teams have built strong capabilities in developing and scaling platforms that support real-time, data-intensive environments, and that joining Persistent will allow for further growth in a larger global ecosystem.
