Vision Marine Technologies Receives First Octillion Power Systems Sample Packs, Advancing E-Motion™ Market Offering

June 2, 2026

U.S.-based battery manufacturer Octillion has delivered advanced high-density sample packs for Vision Marine's E-Motion™ electric marine propulsion platform. These sample packs support higher output capabilities, flexible configurations, and broader evaluation opportunities for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in marine applications.

Vision Marine has begun the physical validation of these custom battery packs, which provide approximately 7.5% more energy capacity per module while maintaining a similar volumetric footprint to the previous generation. This milestone allows the company to advance to the next phase of product validation for various vessel classes.

Maxime Poudrier, Chief Operating Officer at Vision Marine, expressed satisfaction with the collaboration with Octillion, noting the importance of their engineering capabilities and production experience in supporting the company's platform strategy. The refined battery design is expected to enhance electric propulsion adaptability for manufacturers and practicality for consumers and commercial operators.

The new packs will undergo mechanical fitment, electrical communication testing, discharge validation, thermal reviews, and charging compatibility assessments as part of the integration and validation process. Vision Marine aims to develop a scalable electric propulsion platform that serves multiple recreational boating categories through its E-Motion™ technology.

Octillion, headquartered in Richmond, California, is known for its advanced energy storage systems and has delivered over 2.6 million batteries globally. The collaboration between Octillion and Vision Marine seeks to improve the performance of electric marine propulsion across a wider range of recreational boat models.
