easyGroup enters online retail with launch of easyShop.com marketplace in partnership with OnBuy.com
easyShop.com is set to launch as a new online marketplace that will expand the easy brand into mainstream retail. The platform is expected to go live later this year across 21 European countries.
easyShop.com represents a significant move by easyGroup into consumer retail, leveraging one of Europe's most recognized brands within a new sector. The platform is designed with a focus on simplicity and value, aiming to create a unified shopping destination for long-term growth.
The domain will be operated by OnBuy.com, an ecommerce and marketplace technology company powered by its proprietary OnCommerce platform. This technology supports large-scale cross-border trade and has already been validated through OnBuy's existing international marketplace, which has grown by more than 86% over the past three years, now offering over 100 million products across Europe.
Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, creator and owner of the easy family of brands, expressed optimism about the new venture, stating, "I believe an online retail marketplace using a great domain like easyShop is a natural next step." He indicated plans for a consumer-facing launch in the fourth quarter of 2026.
