CathCAD® Surpasses 400,000 Executed Simulation Models and Announces Release of V3.5 Software Engine with Enhanced Accuracy for Low-Durometer Catheter Constructions

Roth Technologies has announced two significant milestones for its CathCAD® platform. Licensed users have executed over 400,000 simulation models globally, and the company has implemented CathCAD® Software Engine Version 3.5, which enhances predictive accuracy for low-durometer catheter constructions.

This achievement highlights the increasing adoption of CathCAD® in catheter development programs, solidifying its status as a specialized engineering platform for computational catheter design, simulation, and optimization.

"Crossing 400,000 executed models represents an important validation of the trust our licensed users place in CathCAD®," said Dr. Ron Roth, President of Roth Technologies. He noted that users are leveraging computational tools earlier in development, which reduces iteration cycles and increases engineering confidence.

CathCAD® has been in use since 2012, assisting engineering teams in accelerating development cycles, minimizing physical prototyping needs, and enhancing the understanding of catheter mechanical behavior using advanced computational methods. The rising reliance on simulation-driven methodologies is evident within the catheter and interventional device industry.

The release of Version 3.5 focuses on improving simulation performance for low-durometer catheter constructions. Enhancements include better predictive accuracy, improved modeling stability in multilayer constructions, and increased consistency across various catheter geometries and materials.

Dr. Roth emphasized that maintaining complete ownership and control over the CathCAD® simulation engine enables Roth Technologies to innovate quickly and implement improvements targeting the engineering challenges faced by catheter developers. CathCAD® continues to provide a computational environment aimed at accelerating innovation and reducing development risk for engineers working on advanced catheter systems.
