Vector Science & Therapeutics Appoints Darryl Drake Jr. as President of Valor
Vector Science & Therapeutics Corp. has appointed Darryl Drake Jr. as President of its newly formed sports medicine division, Valor, and Chairman of the Athletic Board of Directors. Valor is focused on building connections in the professional and elite athlete market and establishing the infrastructure needed to support Vector's transdermal peptide delivery platform.
Drake will oversee Valor's market development initiatives, aiming to promote Vector's pharmaceutical-grade peptides, which are manufactured under current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards in an FDA-licensed facility. He will also work to establish a network of sports medicine clinicians, trainers, and advocates for elite athletes in preparation for the commercial launch of Valor's transdermal delivery platform.
Valor’s initial focus is on Vector's line of pharmaceutical-grade peptides that undergo rigorous testing for safety, purity, and potency. The division aims to integrate advances in peptide science with delivery methods to provide alternatives to systemic pain medications, including opiates, for tissue repair, recovery, and pain alleviation.
Drake brings over a decade of experience in building high-performance commercial teams and managing relationships with influential athletes. His understanding of the challenges athletes face concerning pain management through systemic medications positions him well to lead Valor's entry into the market.
Bill Jackson, CEO of Vector Science & Therapeutics Corp., stated that Drake's relationships, proven track record, and commitment make him the ideal leader for Valor. Drake, an early investor in Vector, has a history of driving over $150 million in sales in various countries.
Valor, as part of Vector Science & Therapeutics Corp., aims to forge connections in the professional athlete realm and create a distribution channel for the company’s transdermal peptide delivery platform, emphasizing tissue repair, recovery, and targeted pain relief.
