Vice President Pence Joins Robert Costa at the National Press Club on June 15

Vice President Mike Pence will discuss his new book, "What Conservatives Believe," and outline his vision for the future of the GOP in a conversation with Robert Costa at a National Press Club Headliners Dinner on Monday, June 15 at 7:00 p.m.

In "What Conservatives Believe," Pence posits that Republicans must rediscover the principles of true conservatism to address future challenges. He cautions the GOP to recommit to the ideals of fiscal responsibility, small government, and free markets, which he believes defined the Republican Party from the Reagan Administration through the first Trump Administration. Pence highlights the necessity for the party to adhere to enduring conservative principles and to resist the allure of big-government populism.

Mike Pence previously served as a Congressman for six terms and as the 50th Governor of Indiana before taking office as the 48th Vice President of the United States from 2017 to 2021.

Robert Costa, Chief Washington Analyst for CBS News and a national correspondent for "CBS News Sunday Morning," has been recognized with the 2025 Fourth Estate Award by the National Press Club for his contributions to journalism. He has extensively reported on the conservative movement and has covered Vice President Pence throughout his political career.

The evening will begin with dinner in the Ballroom at 7:00 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session moderated by Costa starting at 7:30 p.m. National Press Club members can purchase up to two tickets at a discounted rate of $25, while non-member tickets are priced at $45.
