Zoomlion's Humanoid Robot Z01 Shines at KOMATEK 2026, Showcasing Advances in Embodied AI and Industrial Robotics
Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. attracted attention at KOMATEK 2026 in Istanbul with the introduction of its humanoid robot Z01. The event featured over 40 high-end construction machinery exhibits, which garnered orders exceeding RMB 1 billion, making Z01 one of the most talked-about highlights.
During the exhibition, Z01 performed a Tai Chi routine, captivating large crowds and engaging visitors extensively. The humanoid robot is designed for industrial collaboration, intelligent guidance, and educational applications, demonstrating coordinated movement and precise operational capabilities throughout the event.
The debut of Z01 underscores Zoomlion's commitment to embodied AI, marking the emergence of robots and related industries as the company's third growth curve. The company has established a significant advantage in embodied intelligence development through its early investment in industrial IoT technologies, creating a strong digital foundation via Zvalley, its AI-powered industrial internet subsidiary, which employs nearly 1,300 technical and R&D professionals.
Since 2024, Zoomlion has accelerated its development of embodied AI technologies through integrated hardware-software innovations. It has developed a comprehensive technology framework that encompasses robot hardware, core components, decision-making and motion-control systems, and software ecosystems. The integration of AI and robotics is driving the transformation of its construction, agricultural, and mining machinery operations.
By the end of 2025, Zoomlion had created eight prototypes of embodied AI robots across four major categories, including humanoid and wheeled robots. These robots have been validated in real-world applications within Zoomlion Smart City, performing functions such as logistics handling, factory inspections, loading and unloading, pre-assembly, and quality inspection, providing valuable data for future commercialization.
Earlier this year at Hannover Messe 2026, Zoomlion showcased its embodied AI development platform, Robot Ops, with collaborative operations involving humanoid and logistics robots. The event highlighted the company's advancements in transitioning embodied AI from research to practical industrial applications, focusing on real-world adaptability, autonomous decision-making, and multi-robot collaboration.
