ChatSee.ai Raises $6.5M led by True Ventures to Tackle the Growing Problem of AI Agent Failures
ChatSee.ai has announced a $6.5 million funding round led by True Ventures, with participation from First Rays Venture Partners, Seven Hills Ventures, and industry veterans. The funding is intended to expand engineering and accelerate enterprise deployments of its platform, which provides a failure intelligence layer for autonomous AI systems.
The company's technology continuously monitors, detects, and structures behavioral failures across enterprise AI systems. By creating a shared failure memory of recurring failure patterns, ChatSee enables both humans and AI systems to improve AI behavior and operational outcomes over time.
As AI agents move from experimental phases to production environments in enterprises, they are increasingly integrated into customer interactions and operational workflows. However, these agents often exhibit recurring behavioral failures once deployed, with many failures depending on context, intent, and policy interpretation. Traditional observability tools provide limited insight into these failures, emphasizing the need for a system that captures the context surrounding failures and tracks remediation.
Gartner analysts have identified the necessity for a new control plane, termed Guardian Agents, to enhance the observation and protection of these AI systems. ChatSee has been included in the Gartner Market Guide for Guardian Agents, highlighting the need for technologies that monitor and align the behavior of production AI agents with business outcomes.
ChatSee was co-founded by Sekhar Sarukkai and Sanjay Agrawal, PhD. Sarukkai emphasized that while observability shows what occurred, it does not evaluate whether the behavior was correct. The goal is to shift AI operations to a collaborative improvement model between humans and AI systems, effectively transforming oversight into a continuous, governed operation.
Puneet Agarwal, Partner at True Ventures, noted that while AI agents are becoming integral to enterprise infrastructure, companies currently lack tools to effectively understand and correct their behaviors in real production scenarios. ChatSee aims to fill this critical gap in the evolving AI landscape.
