BQP Appoints NUAIR CEO Craig Marcinkowski to Board of Directors as U.S. Growth Accelerates Across Defense and Aerospace
BQP, a quantum simulation company specializing in digital twin platforms for mission-critical applications, has appointed Craig Marcinkowski to its Board of Directors. Marcinkowski is a veteran in the defense technology industry and currently serves as President and CEO of NUAIR. This appointment comes as BQP experiences growth in its customer and partner base across the United States.
With more than 25 years of experience in fields such as surveillance systems, unmanned aircraft, and defense technology, Marcinkowski has held leadership roles at organizations including SRC Inc., Lockheed Martin, and Saab, Inc. He recently assumed his role at NUAIR, guiding the organization into a new growth phase.
Marcinkowski's expertise encompasses both technical execution and commercialization in defense-adjacent and public safety systems, closely related to BQP's initiatives within aerospace, defense, and semiconductors. In discussing his appointment, he stated, "BQP is operating at the intersection of some of the most important shifts in engineering and national security today. The ability to improve how complex systems are modeled and tested has real implications for how organizations design, build, and deploy critical technologies."
The addition of Marcinkowski to the board is intended to support BQP as it continues its collaborations with leading organizations in the defense and technology sectors, including the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, NVIDIA, MathWorks, IBM, and Intel. Abhishek Chopra, Founder and CEO of BQP, noted, "Craig brings a rare combination of technical depth and operational experience across defense systems, infrastructure, and commercialization, which will be valuable as we navigate our next phase."
BQP's platform, BQPhy®, integrates into existing engineering workflows and operates on current computing infrastructure. It aims to address computational challenges in areas such as fluid dynamics, optimization, and machine learning, thereby facilitating engineering outcomes in mission-critical environments without the need for future quantum hardware.
