Equinix Collaborates with Cisco and NVIDIA to Deploy Secure AI Factories Across Global Data Center Footprint
Equinix, Inc. has announced a collaboration with Cisco and NVIDIA aimed at accelerating enterprise AI deployment. The partnership will enable customers to utilize the Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA across Equinix's global network of data centers, providing standardized blueprints and automation for AI deployments.
As part of this initiative, Equinix is also partnering with Presidio to establish the Programmable AI Technology Hub (P.A.T.H.) Lab. This lab will serve as a real-world testing environment for customers to validate and refine their AI infrastructure before full-scale rollouts.
"The success of enterprise AI starts with its physical foundation," stated Gordon Mackintosh, Senior Vice President, Global Partner Sales and Ecosystems at Equinix. He emphasized that the collaboration aims to provide the necessary infrastructure for AI workloads while giving customers a platform to test their strategies before scaling.
The integration of the Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA across Equinix's data centers enhances access to the interconnection density, specialized power, and advanced cooling needed for large-scale AI deployments. These efforts are built on NVIDIA reference architectures tailored for enterprise technology purchasing.
Presidio, a technology services provider, has joined forces with Equinix to create the P.A.T.H. Lab, which leverages Cisco's technologies to form a fully integrated AI environment. According to Tim McHugh, VP Partnerships & Alliances at Presidio, the focus has shifted from merely finding powerful AI models to establishing robust infrastructure that supports AI applications without compromising data sovereignty.
This collaboration highlights how partnerships in technology can facilitate the rapid deployment of AI infrastructure, enabling businesses to evolve and adapt in a fast-paced digital landscape.
