Viridi and Budderfly Scale Commercial Battery Storage to 100 Sites Nationwide
Viridi, a leader in fail-safe battery energy storage systems (BESS), and Budderfly, an energy-as-a-service company, have announced a nationwide deployment initiative. This effort will introduce Viridi's commercial battery energy storage systems to 100 Budderfly-managed commercial sites across the United States.
This partnership aims to enhance Budderfly's energy infrastructure platform, enabling various commercial facilities, such as restaurants and manufacturing sites, to modernize their aging energy structures and improve operational efficiency without incurring upfront costs.
With rising electricity demand and grid constraints, the significance of distributed energy storage in commercial energy infrastructure is increasing. Viridi's RPSLinkEX systems are designed for seamless integration and are part of Budderfly's strategy to enhance grid resiliency and energy optimization. The battery systems will assist in managing energy demand and promoting broader grid flexibility.

Current deployments are taking place in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and California, with a recent installation at the Shelton, Connecticut headquarters of OEM Controls, a manufacturer of industrial control systems. This project builds on previous installations at Dunkin' and 99 Restaurants locations.
