Horizon Media Launches Agentic Orchestration Layer for Real-Time Media Decisioning

June 18, 2026

Horizon Media Holdings has announced the introduction of agentic buying capabilities within its HorizonOS' Blu platform, which is designed to enhance marketing intelligence through real-time decision-making across channels and publishers. The company stated that this technology integrates audience intelligence, publisher data, and campaign performance into a unified decision system, optimizing media buys in real-time.

This development is part of Horizon's broader strategy to foster innovation within the agency's open ecosystem. Traditional agency marketing workflows often involve separate teams for creative, activation, and measurement, leading to fragmented processes that hinder timely responses to market changes. Horizon aims to address this issue by emphasizing collaboration and integration, rather than relying on experimental technologies.

In collaboration with major players such as Disney, Fox, NBCUniversal, TikTok, and Newton Research, Horizon is testing and scaling solutions that leverage the Databricks platform. Horizon’s open operating system allows various partners, including ad tech and martech providers, to connect directly to the Blu platform, enabling them to develop customized solutions that benefit clients.

As part of an ongoing commitment to integrating advanced capabilities, Horizon has launched an "agentic integration layer" that includes audience APIs and agent-based connections to ensure clients are not tied to a single vendor. This move is seen as a counter to the industry's trend toward consolidation and proprietary systems.

Early deployments of the Blu platform have already begun with key clients such as SharkNinja, which utilizes Blu audience APIs for secure collaboration with retail partners. Horizon representatives highlighted that the agentic integration layer allows for quicker go-to-market strategies by reducing implementation friction when interconnecting various partners.

Horizon Media Holdings, the largest independent media agency globally, has been recognized for delivering data-driven results for numerous ambitious brands since its founding in 1989. With more than 2,400 employees and media investments exceeding $8.5 billion, the agency prioritizes business relationships and workplace satisfaction, reflected in its acclaim for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
