Jeffcoat Injury and Car Accident Lawyers Give Back to South Carolina Community
Jeffcoat Injury and Car Accident Lawyers is enhancing its commitment to South Carolina communities by expanding its "Jeffcoat Gives Back" programs. These initiatives, which began last year, involve partnerships with local media, non-profits, and schools to assist families in need of car accident or personal injury legal services.
Michael Jeffcoat, an attorney at the firm, stated, "We not only encourage our team to spend time within the community on their own, but we promote community work as a team, day in and day out. Because we don't just talk the talk, we walk the walk."
This Columbia-based law firm has distributed 1,700 backpacks filled with school supplies to students across five counties and hosted holiday gift-wrapping events for families in need, with plans to continue and expand these efforts. In 2025, Jeffcoat partnered with the Palmetto Project and WIS News 10 for the Families Helping Families holiday assistance program, where staff volunteered to wrap gifts for families, and similar activities are planned for this year.
The firm's community outreach extends across South Carolina, partnering with various nonprofits, media partners, and community organizations. Some of these partners include Holly Hill Youth Sports, St. Matthews Library, Conway Center, Serve and Connect Orangeburg, and the Corey Mitchell Foundation, among others.
Jeffcoat's employee philanthropic and volunteer initiatives include a Volunteer Time Off program, which provides paid leave each quarter for staff to engage with local causes. The Pay It Forward initiative, in collaboration with WACH Fox, recognizes and awards $500 weekly to a community hero. "Pay it Forward recognizes the everyday heroes that make a difference in our community," said Jeffcoat.
In addition, Jeffcoat Injury and Car Accident Lawyers supports the Walk for Life initiative, which is focused on breast cancer research. The firm represents South Carolina residents who have been seriously injured due to others' negligence, handling various cases throughout the state, particularly in Columbia, Lexington, Orangeburg, and Conway.
