Die „Geely Farizon Green Smart Mobility Solution" feiert auf der Hong Kong Expo 2026 ihr Debüt

The International Automotive and Supply Chain Expo (Hong Kong) was officially opened on June 18, 2026, at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. The Geely Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group (Geely Farizon), a leading supplier of commercial vehicles with alternative drivetrains, participated for the second consecutive time, showcasing a comprehensive product range in line with its technological roadmap of "methanol-electric + pure electric." The exhibited products serve various applications, including public transport, urban logistics, autonomous vehicles, ferries, emergency power generation, and more. The company's booth presented an extensive ecosystem solution for green, smart mobility, aimed at supporting Hong Kong in achieving its target of CO₂ neutrality by 2050.

Geely Farizon's product portfolio includes Methanol-REV models, the SV, Homtruck, light-duty trucks, and the U12M robotaxi, along with specially customized electric double-decker buses for Hong Kong and mobile power supply vehicles from Visionol, methanol generators, and ship engines. The customized double-decker bus made its debut in Hong Kong, with a design tailored for local public transport and sightseeing, establishing itself as a new landmark of urban mobility. The methanol bus U12M has received an emissions exemption from the Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department and is set to begin commercial operations in August, confirming that Geely Farizon's methanol-electric vehicles comply with strict environmental regulations in Hong Kong and paving the way for the global roll-out of methanol technology.

On the opening day of the expo, Geely Holding Group hosted the "Green City, Smart City – Geely Green Energy & Intelligent Mobility Technology Ecosystem Launch Event," during which Geely Farizon announced a strategic partnership with CaoCao. The two parties plan to deploy 100,000 units of the Farizon Robovan by 2030 to establish eco-friendly smart cities. Under the "One Geely" strategy, they aim to leverage their strengths in research and development, manufacturing, operations, and ecosystem resources to advance the mass production of the Robovan and create an intelligent, AI-supported logistics network.

As an international metropolis, Hong Kong has actively set a goal to achieve CO₂ neutrality by 2050. However, the high population density, limited land space, and scarce energy resources pose challenges to infrastructure expansion, such as charging stations. Therefore, the shift to eco-friendly transportation in Hong Kong must be tailored to local conditions and economically viable. Geely Farizon’s "methanol-electric + pure electric" technological roadmap is specifically designed to meet the urban advantages and development needs of Hong Kong, based on the company's extensive experience in the local market.

Geely Farizon has established a global sales and service network covering 64 countries and regions, and in the first quarter of this year, the company ranked first in exports of Chinese commercial vehicles with alternative drivetrains. For Geely Farizon, Hong Kong serves as a core market with the most comprehensive product offerings, and several alternative drivetrains have already been deployed in various sectors, including the Farizon SV, which was delivered in multiple batches to Hong Kong's taxi fleet, "Big Bee." Its advantages of zero emissions, low noise, high performance, and spacious interiors have made it popular among drivers and passengers. Looking ahead, Geely Farizon plans to implement its integrated ecosystem solution for green, smart mobility, which includes methanol-electric ferries across Victoria Harbour, Farizon SV taxis on the streets of Hong Kong, and methanol-electric buses to support public transportation, while also promoting the Robovan series for autonomous mobility in various scenarios, to help Hong Kong achieve its CO₂ neutrality target by 2050. The company also aims to globalize its proven model from Hong Kong and spread China's innovations in alternative drivetrains worldwide.
