Visiting Angels Announces 2026 National Caregiver of the Year

Visiting Angels has announced Tiffany Moon of its Charleston, West Virginia location as the 2026 National Caregiver of the Year. Owned by Les DeFelice and Connie Nelson, the Charleston office selected Moon from over 100 nominations submitted nationwide. This award, now in its seventh year, recognizes caregivers who provide compassionate and professional support, helping seniors and vulnerable individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

Moon has been a caregiver with Visiting Angels since 2019 and has been acknowledged for her exemplary work and dedication to mentorship, guiding nearly 100 fellow caregivers through the program over her tenure.

Scott Parrish, President of Visiting Angels, stated, "Tiffany embodies everything Visiting Angels aims to demonstrate, namely compassion, professionalism, and providing a genuine human connection to our clients. Her kindness and empathy are exactly what every family hopes to find in the person caring for their loved ones, and we're happy to recognize her outstanding efforts."

In addition to the award, Moon received a $10,000 prize and was honored at the Visiting Angels annual conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. Moon expressed her gratitude, stating, "This recognition means more to me than words can express. I truly love my job, the people I work with, and the families I have the privilege of serving every day."

Amanda Williams of Visiting Angels Chelmsford, Massachusetts, and Eddie Thomas of Visiting Angels Northeast San Antonio, Texas, were also recognized as 2026 National Caregiver of the Year Finalists, each receiving a $5,000 prize. Semi-finalists were awarded $1,000 each in acknowledgment of their contributions.

Visiting Angels continues to support caregivers through guidance, ongoing training, and resources to foster a collaborative environment beneficial to caregivers, clients, and families served.
