ATLANT 3D, A*STAR IMRE y NAMIC firman un MoU para impulsar el descubrimiento de materiales mediante IA
ATLANT 3D, the A*STAR Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (A*STAR IMRE), and the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Cluster (NAMIC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the establishment of an Advanced Materials Development Center, referred to as "A-HUB," in Singapore.
The alliance aims to combine ATLANT 3D's patented Direct Atomic Layer Processing (DALP®) technology with A*STAR IMRE's expertise in materials engineering and NAMIC's additive manufacturing capabilities and ecosystem development. The parties will explore applications in AI-driven materials discovery for advanced packaging, silicon photonics, and semiconductor manufacturing.
A-HUB Singapore is designed to enhance the synthesis of high-performance materials, facilitate autonomous materials discovery, and accelerate technology development. It will also enable innovative projects with industrial partners while strengthening Singapore's sovereign advanced manufacturing infrastructure and materials innovation ecosystem.
Dr. Maksym Plakhotnyuk, CEO and founder of ATLANT 3D, stated that Singapore is a global leader in the industrial-scale adoption of advanced materials and state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies. He emphasized that the combination of ATLANT 3D's DALP® technology with A*STAR IMRE's material expertise and NAMIC's innovation ecosystem will create the world's first high-performance material innovation foundry for advanced applications in semiconductors, silicon photonics, and advanced packaging technologies.
Professor Loh Xian Jun, CEO of A*STAR IMRE, noted that the collaboration with ATLANT 3D would integrate cutting-edge atomic layer processing capabilities into their materials development workflow, allowing for accelerated discovery and optimization of functional thin-film materials. He highlighted that the combined expertise strengthens A*STAR IMRE's ability to translate research into practical outcomes for Singapore's advanced manufacturing industry.
Dr. Ho Chaw Sing, CEO of NAMIC and Executive Director of the A*STAR Scientific and Engineering Research Council, remarked that the next frontier for humanity will require advancements in materials with superior properties, enabled by closed-loop digital additive processes. He expressed that A-HUB aspires to be a shared platform that brings together research partners, industry, and ecosystems to accelerate the transition of supermaterials from the laboratory to manufacturing, thereby reinforcing Singapore's position as a global hub for next-generation materials and advanced manufacturing.
