Assort Health Raises $120 Million Series C to Scale Largest Deployment of AI Agents for the Patient Journey
Assort Health has announced a $120 million Series C funding round led by Menlo Ventures, valuing the company at $1.2 billion. With this latest round, Assort has raised over $222 million to become a prominent platform for healthcare organizations aiming to enhance the patient journey using artificial intelligence.
The company has supported more than 190 million patient voice interactions. Assort Health addresses a significant challenge in healthcare, highlighting that providers expend nearly double the resources on administrative tasks compared to direct patient care, which accumulates to an annual administrative burden of $1.1 trillion.
Initially focused on scheduling specialty appointments, Assort has expanded its platform to include features like intake forms, referrals, document processing, medication refills, real-time eligibility checks, lab requests, and payment processing. This expansion is bolstered by over 190 million patient interactions and 62,000 care protocols, creating a comprehensive proprietary dataset in the healthcare sector.
The company also introduced its proprietary AI model, Synapse, designed to analyze specialty workflows and automatically adapt to various edge cases. This technical advantage has resulted in a reported 20-fold increase in revenue over the past 15 months.
Assort's platform features several products, including Concierge for managing patient interactions, Activate for proactively addressing care gaps, Orchestrate for operational support, and Empower for real-time staff assistance. The interconnected nature of these services aims to create a seamless, personalized experience for patients throughout their journey.
The expansion of Assort's capabilities has attracted partnerships with various health systems, including John Muir Health, as the demand for sophisticated ambulatory operations continues to rise. This growth aligns with Assort's vision of using AI to fundamentally transform how healthcare delivery operates.
