Huffman Family Foundation Commits $2 Million+ to Philanthropic Efforts Across Maryland
Huffman Family Brands has donated over $2 million to support schools, universities, and community organizations across Maryland through the Huffman Family Foundation. These investments aim to expand educational opportunities, strengthen student experiences, and assist families throughout the state.
Richard Huffman, Founder & CEO of Huffman Family Brands, stated, "Success isn't measured only by what we build as an organization, but by the opportunities we help create for others." He emphasized the importance of supporting education and community organizations as a way to shape future leaders and strengthen families.
The Huffman Family Foundation has made significant contributions to various institutions. Calvert Hall College High School received an $800,000 commitment to create The Huffman Family Sports Performance Center, which will feature facilities for both academic and athletic development. Notre Dame Preparatory School was awarded a historic $1 million donation for its Common Ground: Building NDP's Future campaign, aiming to establish a new Student Commons. Additionally, Salisbury University will benefit from the foundation's support through the development of a dedicated facility for student-athlete training.
Education and community impact are central to Huffman Family Brands' mission. The organization, through the Huffman Family Foundation and Celebree School, seeks to increase access to high-quality early childhood education. Celebree School has been recognized as the largest authorized provider of Maryland's Pre-K Expansion Grant Program, allowing qualifying families to access free pre-K education in a nurturing learning environment.
Huffman Family Brands has also strengthened its commitment to families through its partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maryland. After Richard Huffman joined its Board of Directors in 2023, the company expanded its support by pledging to donate $50 for every new student registered at participating Celebree School locations by August 31. Huffman reiterated the importance of collaboration among schools, families, and organizations in building strong communities.
