Commercetools has completed its first ISAE 3402 Type 2 audit, which serves as the international equivalent of the U.S. SOC 1, and has also successfully completed its latest SOC 2 Type 2 audit. These accomplishments aim to provide customers with enhanced assurance regarding the company's security measures.

The newly launched Trust Center offers centralized and expedited access to security documentation for customers. Commercetools indicates that its systems and processes are subject to ongoing audits as part of its security and compliance programs.

The completion of the ISAE 3402 Type 2 audit reflects the effectiveness of commercetools’ operational controls over time. Customers can access the latest SOC 2 Type 2 report in the Trust Center, alongside other relevant security and compliance documentation. The Trust Center enables secure, self-service access, facilitating procurement, security reviews, and vendor assessments.

Emil Pfrang, Information Security Director at commercetools, stated, "As enterprises increasingly rely on AI-powered and autonomous commerce, trust is just as important as innovation. Organizations need confidence that the platforms underpinning their digital commerce operations meet the highest standards for security, governance and operational excellence." He noted that the expanded assurance program allows customers to evaluate commercetools more efficiently while maintaining the transparency expected from an enterprise technology partner.

The expanded trust program includes the new Trust Center, the first-time availability of the ISAE 3402 Type 2 report, an updated SOC 2 Type 2 report, an existing ISO 27001 certificate, and certifications for HIPAA, HDS, and Cyber Essentials that support various industry requirements. The Trust Center aims to streamline access to security documentation and enhance the vendor evaluation process for enterprise procurement, legal, compliance, and security teams.

The Trust Center is now available for customers and prospects with registered access, underscoring commercetools' commitment to enterprise-grade governance and security as organizations evolve their commerce infrastructure to embrace AI-driven operations.
