Retia Medical Appoints Christopher Benassi to Strategic Advisory Board

July 9, 2026

Retia Medical has announced the appointment of Christopher Benassi, former Vice President of the Connected Care Group at Baxter International, to its Strategic Advisory Board. The move comes as the company builds momentum, having received FDA 510(k) clearance for its Argos Infinity platform in February 2026.

Retia Medical's recent developments include the initiation of commercial deployments of its cardiovascular intelligence software across virtual and tele-ICU environments at leading hospitals, alongside international expansion. The company's annual revenue has reportedly increased sixfold over the last two years, significantly attributed to its partnership with Medtronic for the Argos™ Cardiac Output Monitor and direct commercialization efforts for Argos Infinity™.

Benassi brings over 15 years of experience in healthcare and medtech, with expertise in connected care, software-enabled monitoring, and commercial strategy. During his tenure at Baxter International, he led a high-growth division focusing on communications, software, artificial intelligence, and critical care monitoring technologies.

In a statement, Benassi expressed optimism about Retia Medical's trajectory, highlighting the company's clinical achievements and commercialization efforts. "I'm joining Retia's Strategic Advisory Board because I believe the most important chapter of this company is still ahead," he said.

Marc Zemel, Co-Founder and CEO of Retia Medical, emphasized Benassi's value to the company, stating, "Chris brings exactly the expertise we need at this stage of our growth." Benassi is also known for his past roles at Goldman Sachs and UBS, as well as his board affiliations with healthcare technology companies.

Retia Medical specializes in developing cardiovascular intelligence software that enhances routine physiologic monitoring, aiming to improve clinical outcomes. The Argos Infinity platform offers a monitor-agnostic Software as a Medical Device solution that integrates with existing hospital infrastructure.
