MNA: Brigham Nurses Prepare for End of Lockout on Monday with Solidarity Walk-In as MGB Home Care Clinicians Demonstrate Power with Ongoing MGB HQ Strike Picketing

Brigham and Women's Hospital nurses are poised to return to their duties with a Solidarity Walk-In as they remain locked out by Mass General Brigham until Monday morning. Home Care clinicians affiliated with MGB are currently on their fifth day of strike out of a planned seven days, continuing their picketing outside the Assembly Row facility.

Nurses are set to picket outside the main hospital located at 75 Francis St. on Sunday, July 12. A continuous demonstration has been organized with the support of local, state, and federal elected officials, as well as patients, family members, unions, and community members. On Monday morning, nurses will gather before 6:59 a.m. for a brief rally before dropping their picket signs. Nurses scheduled for shifts will enter the hospital to resume patient care, while additional nurses and supporters demonstrate their solidarity outside.

Picketing efforts for the MGB Home Care strike will persist from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, followed by 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. A rally is planned for Tuesday afternoon to mark the conclusion of the strike.

The MGB Home Care bargaining unit comprises registered nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech language pathologists, social workers, and dieticians.
