ValorC3 Data Centers Launches Backup as a Service (BaaS) to Safeguard Critical Enterprise Data

ValorC3 Data Centers has announced the general availability of Backup as a Service (BaaS), a fully managed solution designed to protect critical SaaS data, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Salesforce. The service ensures that every backup is immutable, meaning that data remains recoverable even after deletion, corruption, or a ransomware attack.

Research indicates that many organizations erroneously believe that SaaS vendors provide backup services. Recent cloud governance tracking reveals that 80% of organizations have encountered at least one cloud security issue, highlighting the importance of proactive data protection.

"Protecting data is the responsibility of the customer," said Justin Fox, Senior Vice President of Product and Operations at ValorC3. He emphasized that the BaaS solution addresses this gap, offering businesses a robust way to guard against potential data loss from real-time threats.

ValorC3 manages customer data comprehensively, including configuring and monitoring backup jobs, testing recovery processes, and formulating protection strategies. The immutability of backups ensures that a recoverable point remains intact, even in the event of a ransomware attack. ValorC3 operates this service on Veeam Data Cloud, leveraging its status as a Veeam Gold Service Provider.

With Backup as a Service now available, ValorC3 protects not only SaaS applications but also on-premises servers and cloud workloads. For Valor Cloud customers, 14 days of backup is included by default on instance-based plans, with options for extended retention available.
