Fresenius Medical Care introduces TherapyWise™ analytics for kidney replacement therapy
Fresenius Medical Care has announced the launch of TherapyWise™, a cloud-based analytics tool designed to enhance kidney replacement therapy (KRT) in acute and hospital critical care settings. This feature is part of the NxView™ 4.0 software platform, which has received FDA 510(k) clearance for use with the NxStage® System One™ in the United States.
TherapyWise aims to provide program-level insights by aggregating clinical and operational data related to KRT. By consolidating data generated at the point of care, the platform summarizes trends and metrics that can assist healthcare professionals in understanding workflow interruptions and alarm frequencies, which typically pose challenges in assessing therapy delivery in Intensive Care Units (ICUs).
The functionality of TherapyWise includes the secure transfer of data from the NxStage System One with NxView to the cloud, where it is analyzed and presented through predefined performance indicators. These indicators encompass metrics such as the average dose delivered compared to the set dose, treatment times, and alarm trends, aimed at facilitating retrospective reviews and program oversight.
Fresenius Medical Care has established itself as a leading provider of renal disease services, catering to approximately 4.5 million patients globally. The introduction of TherapyWise adds to its comprehensive critical care portfolio, which integrates digital solutions, clinical expertise, and secure data management to support kidney replacement therapy programs.
