AiRISTA Launches Newest Version of Sofia™, Setting a Standard for Enterprise-Grade Real-Time Location Systems
AiRISTA, a provider of real-time location systems (RTLS), has announced the release of its updated Sofia™ real-time location intelligence platform. This launch, dated July 21, 2026, builds on the existing Vision RTLS platform, aiming to address the evolving needs of enterprise and government customers.
As the demand for location intelligence increases among organizations seeking to enhance staff safety, operational efficiency, and workflow automation, Sofia offers users the ability to utilize their current technology investments through an open, technology-agnostic platform.
"Sofia reflects what we've believed since founding AiRISTA: location intelligence should adapt to how an organization actually operates," said Sy Sajjad, Founder and CEO of AiRISTA. "With this release, we've strengthened the security, flexibility, and scalability that enterprise and healthcare customers require." Key enhancements in Sofia include a modernized user experience, enterprise-grade security features, a centralized Integrations Hub, and seamless multi-site deployment capabilities.
Unlike other RTLS platforms that rely on a single positioning technology, Sofia accommodates multiple technologies, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE), Ultra-Wideband (UWB), infrared (IR), GPS, and RFID. This allows organizations to choose the most suitable technology for various use cases without being tied to a single vendor.
Wyatt Meek, Chief Commercial Officer of AiRISTA, highlighted the need for customers to have both capability and flexibility. "Sofia gives organizations enterprise-grade security and a modernized experience without asking them to give up the freedom to choose the right technology for each use case," he stated.
Sofia is currently available, and existing customers are encouraged to consult their AiRISTA account teams for upgrade planning. More information can be found on the company's website.
