Pet Supplies Plus, a prominent name in pet retail, is set to open a new store in Queen Creek on July 31. The store, located at 37752 N. Gantzel Rd, will provide a comprehensive selection of pet essentials for various animals, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals. The store will also offer services such as grooming, self-pet wash stations, and carry-out assistance.
The new franchise is owned by local residents Michelle Kim and John Maderos, who have partnered in multiple businesses across Arizona. After residing in Queen Creek for five years, they decided to establish their first pet retail venture in the area. They aim to create a neighborhood pet store where families can receive personalized service and expert advice.
“Opening Pet Supplies Plus in Queen Creek is especially meaningful because it's an opportunity to serve the community John and I call home,” said Kim. She emphasized their commitment to making every customer feel welcomed and assured they are receiving quality care and products for their pets.
As part of their community engagement, the franchise plans to collaborate with local animal shelters, rescue organizations, and non-profits to organize adoption events, fundraising activities, and pet product drives throughout the year.
To mark the store’s grand opening, Kim and Maderos will host a weekend-long celebration from August 29 to August 30, featuring various activities, including free self-service pet washes, discounts on tropical fish, prizes, and promotional offers for customers. The first 100 visitors will receive free small bags of pet food, and the store will offer various contests and rewards for attendees.
Customers are encouraged to bring their leashed pets into the store, where the trained staff will be available to answer questions and provide advice on pet care. The store will offer convenient services such as one-hour curbside pickup and same-day delivery for online orders. The hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
