DoiT Becomes Founding Member of the Tokenomics Foundation, Helping Define the Standard for AI Cost Attribution
DoiT, the company behind Cloud Intelligence™ and its AI cost product Attribute™, has announced its membership as a founding member of the Tokenomics Foundation. This move aims to establish open standards, benchmarks, and best practices for the economics of AI infrastructure. DoiT intends to contribute to defining how the industry attributes and governs token, model, and GPU spending.
Amit Kinha, Field CTO at DoiT, will serve as a governing Board member of the Tokenomics Foundation. His involvement is expected to embed the practitioner and engineering perspective that shaped the development of Attribute into the Foundation’s industry standards.
The need for proper management of AI expenditures has become increasingly urgent. According to industry analysts, investment in AI infrastructure is expected to exceed one trillion dollars by 2027, with the inference market alone projected to grow from approximately 106 billion dollars in 2025 to 255 billion dollars by 2030. Recent research indicates that 98 percent of practitioners now manage AI spending, compared to just 31 percent two years ago, highlighting the demand for enhanced visibility into AI metrics.
Attribute is designed to address the challenges of tracking AI costs. By utilizing a lightweight eBPF sensor, DoiT's product can monitor actual usage within the operating system, mapping every token, model request, and GPU cycle to the respective process, workload, customer, and agent responsible. This system eliminates the need for traditional tagging methods and aims to streamline the management of AI expenditures.
