ASSAÍ GAINS MARKET SHARE, DELEVERAGES, AND REACHES GROSS REVENUE OF R$ 21.4 BILLION IN Q2

Assaí has reported record customer traffic and operating cash generation of R$ 3.3 billion, which the company claims strengthens its capital structure and advances its strategic priorities for 2026.

In its latest financial performance, Assaí demonstrated resilience amid challenging macroeconomic conditions. The company gained market share and recorded its lowest leverage since the third quarter of 2021. For the second quarter of 2026, Assaí reported gross revenue of R$ 21.4 billion, reflecting a 2.4% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth was attributed to a 3.4% rise in customer traffic, surpassing 40 million monthly visits, and a 0.3 percentage point gain in market share under the "same-store" concept. Recurring net income reached R$ 344 million for the quarter.

Operating cash generation stood at R$ 3.3 billion, with a margin of 17.1%, marking an increase of 0.4 percentage points from the previous quarter. Additionally, free cash flow totaled R$ 2.7 billion over the last 12 months, contributing to a reduced financial leverage of 2.37x, down by 0.8x over the year.

Belmiro Gomes, CEO of Assaí, emphasized the company's solid operation and financial structure, alongside initiatives to expand growth opportunities. He noted the importance of discipline in capital allocation, operational efficiency, cash generation, and sustainable value creation for stakeholders.

Strategically, Assaí is advancing its growth plans for 2026, including the opening of two Assaí Farma units in São Paulo and the expansion of its sports nutrition and supplements category to 93 stores. The company also launched 30 new private label items under the Assaí, Assaí Chef, and Econobom brands. In terms of consumer electronics, strong sales were recorded for household appliances, particularly televisions, coinciding with the football world championship.

In its digital and financial services initiatives, Assaí has seen a 237% increase in last-mile sales through iFood, initiated a marketplace pilot on Mercado Livre, and expanded testing of its Assaí Pay card machine to 30 stores.
