Der weltweit erste Industriepark mit integrierter Langzeit-Energiespeicherung nimmt die Produktion auf: Shandong HiTHIUM läutet eine neue Phase der skalierbaren Bereitstellung ein

Shandong HiTHIUM has officially launched the production of the world's first integrated industrial park for long-duration energy storage (LDES) in Heze, China. The ceremony took place on August 7 in the Luxi New Area, reflecting the company’s commitment to becoming a leader in the LDES market from day one. This initiative marks a strategic milestone for HiTHIUM as it deepens its integrated industrial structure and enters a new era of smart manufacturing and large-scale LDES deployment.

The project, covering approximately 80 hectares with an investment exceeding 13 billion RMB, is designated as a key national initiative for private investment and is recognized as a flagship project for advancing the new energy system in Shandong Province. It is the first industrial park globally focused solely on LDES.

The facility employs a cross-industry approach, incorporating smart manufacturing of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells, module and system integration, and the production of new materials, ensuring a seamless integration from raw materials to cells and systems.

Wang Pengcheng, co-founder and CEO of HiTHIUM, stated that the production launch signifies a new phase for Heze in scalable manufacturing, market-oriented delivery, and ecosystem development. He further outlined the company’s strategy to enhance its three pillars of leadership: establishing a national reference industry cluster for LDES, advancing product leadership with LDES solutions for all application scenarios, and improving production efficiency through integrated smart manufacturing.

The Heze site features fifth-generation smart manufacturing lines, the first in the industry to exceed 15 GWh capacity per line. This new generation achieves a reduction in land use per GWh by 50%, a decrease in staffing needs by 58%, a 13% reduction in energy consumption, and a 200% increase in efficiency compared to the previous generation. With over 95% automation and more than 1,000 quality control checkpoints augmented by AI-assisted visual inspections, the Heze facility is poised to deliver competitive LDES solutions globally, ensuring cost-effective operations and high-quality products.
