August 12, 2026

Maple Leaf Foods Inc. has reported its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company achieved adjusted EBITDA of $137 million, representing a 4.8% increase compared to the same period last year and a margin of 13.4%. Earnings were recorded at $41 million, translating to $0.33 basic earnings per share.

For the second quarter, Maple Leaf Foods reported sales of $1,020 million, which is a 1.6% increase from $1,004 million for the same period in the prior year. The company's earnings before taxes increased to $58 million, up from $54 million the previous year.

Year-to-date results show sales of $1,983 million for 2026, a 3.8% increase from $1,911 million in 2025. The company attributed the growth in poultry sales to higher volumes and improved pricing, despite challenges from increased trade promotion spending. The gross profit for the quarter reached $192 million, with a gross margin of 18.8%.

Curtis Frank, President and CEO of Maple Leaf Foods, commented that the results reflect disciplined execution of their strategy and indicate continued strengthening of the business. Frank noted that with approximately 4% year-to-date revenue growth, the company remains on track to meet its 2026 outlook, which includes projections for mid-single-digit revenue growth and adjusted EBITDA of $520 million to $540 million.

The company has also announced a quarterly dividend of $0.21 per share, set to be paid on September 29, 2026, to shareholders on record as of September 8, 2026. A conference call is scheduled for August 12, 2026, to discuss the second-quarter financial results in detail.
