UCC Environmental Deepens Mining and Steel Presence with Cast Steel Products Acquisition
UCC Environmental (UCC), a global leader in sustainable engineered solutions for air pollution control, water and wastewater treatment, and wear-resistant performance parts, has announced its acquisition of Cast Steel Products (CSP), a supplier of engineered cast, forged, and fabricated wear, abrasion, and heat-resistant products.
Cast Steel Products, based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, has established a strong reputation over the past 30 years, catering to both OEM and aftermarket customers in industries such as mining, oil sands, steel, aluminum, cement, power generation, and railways. CSP's product portfolio includes pallet and sinter cars for iron ore pelletizing and sintering plants, high-pressure grinding roll components, and various crusher liners. CSP operates sales, engineering, and fabrication facilities in Edmonton and Montreal, Canada, as well as in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The acquisition is part of UCC's strategy to expand its performance parts business, merging complementary product lines within heavy industries. CSP's range of engineered wear castings enhances the materials and products that UCC can offer. Likewise, UCC's global engineering capabilities and project execution expertise are expected to create new market opportunities for CSP. This move follows UCC's previous acquisition of Trimay Wear Plate, further solidifying its position in the performance parts sector.
