Cunningham Security Systems Acquires S.W. Alarms, Expanding Service in Southeastern Massachusetts
Cunningham Security Systems has announced the acquisition of S.W. Alarms, LLC, a security, fire alarm, surveillance, and access-control services provider based in Pembroke, Massachusetts. This acquisition, announced on August 24, 2026, aims to expand Cunningham's presence in Plymouth County and Southeastern Massachusetts while maintaining the local relationships that S.W. Alarms customers have come to rely on.
As part of the acquisition, S.W. Alarms will continue to operate as a familiar presence for its customers. Existing phone numbers will remain active, and monitoring and service will continue without interruption. The company’s founder, Steve Wescott, and his son Michael Wescott will remain involved, working with Cunningham to serve the regional customer base. The existing S.W. Alarms location will be utilized for inventory and technician dispatch.
Dan Major, an owner of Cunningham Security Systems, emphasized the commitment to preserving local relationships and expertise. "S.W. Alarms built its reputation by taking care of customers personally and standing behind its work," he stated. The merger is intended to give customers access to the additional resources of a larger regional organization while retaining familiar personnel.
Customers of S.W. Alarms will benefit from continuing support for existing systems, as well as access to Cunningham's expanded offerings, which include professionally monitored security systems, commercial fire alarm installation and inspection, security cameras, access control, environmental detection, and remote video monitoring.
Major Security Holdings of Massachusetts, LLC, operating as Cunningham Security Systems, completed the acquisition, with Rory Russell of Acquisition & Funding Services representing the seller, Steve Wescott.
