Niutech unterzeichnet Vertrag mit weltweit führendem Energiekonzern über eine Produktionsanlage zur Pyrolyse von Kunststoffabfällen zur Herstellung von SAF
JINAN, China — Niutech Technology Group Co., Ltd., a global provider of industrial solutions for continuous pyrolysis, has signed a purchase agreement with a leading energy corporation for an industrial continuous pyrolysis facility dedicated to processing plastic waste. The facility will utilize Niutech's proprietary technology and has a capacity ranging from 10,000 to 50,000 tons per year per unit. It is set to modernize one of the client’s large refineries and facilitate a seamless production process from pyrolysis oil derived from plastic waste to hydrated Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). This marks Niutech's first entry into the client's supply chain.
Sustainable Aviation Fuel is crucial for the decarbonization of the aviation sector. The EU's "ReFuelEU-Aviation" regulation mandates a SAF share of 2% starting in 2025, increasing to 6% by 2030 and 70% by 2050. Due to the limited supply of used cooking oil, the conversion of plastic waste to SAF is emerging as a promising alternative pathway. Niutech's technology directly converts low-quality plastic waste, including PP, PE, PS, ABS, and nylon, both sorted and mixed, into pyrolysis oil suitable for SAF without the need for extensive pre-treatment such as washing, sorting, or drying.
Niutech's pyrolysis solutions for plastic waste have already been commercially implemented in several countries, including the United Kingdom, South Korea, Denmark, Thailand, Vietnam, and China, leading to multiple continuous pyrolysis projects in the range of 10,000 tons per year.
